Now that I'm at college I have people asking me all the time, "You're so good at art! What are you doing at a liberal arts school?" My roommate especially doesn't get it. She's convinced I'm going to be the CEO of Pixar.

Let's get this out of the way: I do want to study art. Do the college art class thing, make a portfolio, draw nekkid people, yeah. But I'm majoring in English because truly, with every fiber of my being, I want to be a writer. And people like my best-guy-friend-turned-boyfriend understand this. (He wants me to draw some of the characters in his own fantasy novel--match made in heaven, I tell ya.) An English degree has more meat in it, I think. Though, what do I know, I'm a vegetarian.

But art hasn't fallen by the wayside. In fact, click this [link] and it will take you to my college's newspaper that I draw cartoons for. Everybody liked my first cartoon! Yay! And I don't have to write articles for them. Even more yay!
